On July 15th, the "Theory and Practice Seminar on Digital Transformation of Manufacturing Enterprises" was successfully held at South China University of Technology. This seminar is hosted by the Guangzhou Federation of Social Sciences and organized by South China University of Technology. Zhang Zhengang, a second level professor, doctoral supervisor, and director of Guangzhou Digital Innovation Research Center at South China University of Technology, presided over the meeting. Li Weiqing, Vice President of South China University of Technology, and Guo Deyan, full-time Vice Chairman of Guangzhou Federation of Social Sciences, attended and delivered speeches.

Due to the need for epidemic prevention, the seminar adopted a combination of online and offline forms, with more than 500 representatives attending the meeting. Mr. Zhang Chengkang, Chairman and CEO of SIE, was invited to participate in the event and shared the online theme of "Practical Exploration of SIE Enabling Manufacturing Enterprises to Transform Digitally". Industry experts, scholars, and business representatives from South China University of Technology, Zhejiang University, Central South University, Northeastern University, and Baiyun Electric Group also discussed and shared their exploration and thinking on digital transformation in the manufacturing industry from different perspectives such as cognition, innovation, philosophy, and data empowerment during this seminar.
